Renzo Molinari (UK) DO, professor,
was a co-founder of Collège Ostéopathique Français and became its first Principal in 1988; in 1994 moved to England to take up a full-time position at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), first being its vice-principal and then principal. Stayed in the latter position up to the end of August 2006. Being the ESO principal, R. Molinari founded the Osteopathic European Academic Network (OSEAN) linking over 14 institutions around Europe. He has set up a number of schools of osteopathy in Europe. Since 1998 – European coordinator of the American Academy of Osteopathy. Prof. R. Molinari took an active part in the foundation of the World Health Osteopathic Organization (WOHO). Presently his main sphere of interest is centered on the role of osteopathy in gynecology and obstetrics and in dealing with chronic pain. In 2006 he founded the Institute of Osteopathic Studies. Prof. R. Molinari is a world-known lecturer and a frequent featured speaker at international conferences. Alexander Skoromets (Russia) MD, member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, doctor of medical sciences, professor, chief of the Chair of Neurology and Neurosurgery of St. Petersburg State Medical University named after I. Pavlov, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation.
Prof. A. Skoromets is a world-known researcher, for a long time he was the President of the Russian Association of Manual Medicine. Actively implemented gentle techniques into clinical practice. One of the initiators of inclusion of the medical specialty 'manual therapy' in the Register of medical and pharmaceutical specialties. The founder of 'Petersburg' school distinguished by its gentleness and functional approach. Author of numerous scientific publications on different aspects of neurology, neurosurgery, manual therapy and other non-medicinal methods. Alexey Karpeev (Russia) MD, doctor of medical sciences, professor,
general director of the Federal Clinical and Experimental Center of Traditional Methods of Diagnosis and Treatment, Chief Specialist of the RF Ministry of Health on the questions of traditional medicine, author of numerous scientific publications. Vladimir Andrianov (Russia) MD, DO (HON), doctor of medical sciences, professor.
In 1986 founded the first and the only Chair of Pediatric Traumatology and Orthopedics in Russia and became its chief. In 1978–1995 director of the Research Pediatric Orthopedic Institute named after H. Turner. For many years he was Chief USSR Specialist in pediatric orthopedics and traumatology. Author of numerous scientific publications on the problems of orthopedics and osteopathy. In 1989–1992 studied osteopathy with the first group of Russian physicians under the leadership of Viola Frymann. At present director of the Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, SPbMAPO and chief of the course in rehabilitation medicine and osteopathy. Member of the WOHO, the American Academy of Osteopathy, the United National Register of Osteopaths (Russia). Michael Patterson (USA) PhD, professor, DO (HON),
a prominent osteopathic researcher. Previously worked in the sphere of experimental psychology and psycho-biology. Since 1971 teaches osteopathy. At present he is working at the College of Osteopathic Medicine Nova Southeastern University. Received a number of awards from the American Academy of Osteopathy for his contribution in osteopathic research. Author of over 160 publications. Deputy-editor of the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, member of the WOHO Board of Directors. World-known lecturer and speaker at International conferences. Jonathan Parsons (UK) DO, MSc.,
graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 1989, at present its senior lecturer and senior clinic tutor, since summer 2006 – head of the International Department. Lectures on many topics both at the ESO and abroad. The main spheres of his interest are conceptual models and osteopathic philosophy. His book “Osteopathy: Models for Diagnosis, Treatment and Practice” (2006) is very popular among osteopathic students and practitioners. Susan Turner (UK) DO, MCCS,
graduated form the ESO in 1979, and since then has been practicing osteopathy in London. Teaches osteopathic medicine, pediatrics in osteopathy and osteopathy in the cranial field in many countries. S. Turner was a co-founder of the pediatric clinic at the ESO (1989 and its director in 1991–2000). She took an active part in foundation of the Osteopathic Center for Children in London and worked there in 1991–1995. Her main spheres of interest are unity of body, mind and spirit, as well as the problems of pediatric and obstetric osteopathy. Gerald Lamb (UK) DO,
graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 1982, for three years practiced with Tom Dummer. During this period G. Lamb developed his skills in specific adjustment techniques (SAT), which are extensively used by him in his clinical practice and taught at osteopathic schools of many countries. His acquaintance with Harold Klug inspired his interest in integration of craniosacral techniques with SAT and elaboration of the concept of tissue fields and functional levels. G. Lamb has created an approach allowing clinical application of these dimensions of palpation space with the aim of improving treatment outcomes. Raimund Engel (Austria) DO,
co-founder of the Austrian Association for Holistic Kinesiology (1989) and of the Vienna School of Osteopathy (1991). Created the WOHO website as a means of communication and nucleus of the future organization. Member of the first Nominations Committee of the WOHO, Austrian representative at the International Forum and the World Osteopathic Health Organization since 1999. Active representant in the Osteopathic European Academic Network. Developed the osteopathic research internet-database as a means of sharing ideas and resources. Co-founder and former vice-president of the Austrian Osteopathic Association. Since 1997 practices osteopathy. Since 1994 teaches holistic kinesiology. Frank Willard (USA) PhD, DO (HON), professor at the University of New England.
Being an outstanding specialist in anatomy, a gifted researcher he is well known as a brilliant lecturer all over the world. Author of books and numerous articles, which are of great interest for osteopaths. Prof. F. Willard is the only specialist in neuro-anatomy studying this field of knowledge from an osteopathic point of view Jane Carreiro (USA) DO,
Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in both Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. In addition to osteopathic medicine, her academic pursuits include human dissection, functional anatomy, and clinical neurophysiology. J. Carreiro’s clinical practice is primarily osteopathic pediatrics. She lectures throughout the world and holds visiting faculty positions at a number of osteopathic schools and associations. J. Carreiro serves as faculty with the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation, and is a member of the Still-Sutherland Study Group. Vice President on the Executive Board of the World Osteopathic Health Organization; holds leading positions in the American Academy of Osteopathy. Her book “Osteopathic Approach to Children” has been translated into French, German and Italian. Russell Gamber (USA) – DO, MPH, professor,

Devotes much attention to educational and research activity. Larissa Lasovetskaia (Russia) MD, DO,
director of the Russian Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. Main medical specialty – pediatrics. In 2000 among the first group of Russian part-time students she graduated from the European School of Osteopathy. Now she is its official representative in Russia. Took part in many conferences on osteopathy in Russia and abroad, conducted workshops at international conferences. WOHO member (education committee); member of the American Academy of Osteopathy, member of the United National Register of Osteopaths (Russia). The sphere of her scientific interests includes biomechanical aspects of breathing and swallowing in children, osteopathic escort of pregnant women, etc. Irina Egorova (Russia) MD, PhD, DO,

chief of the academic department of the Course in rehabilitation medicine and osteopathy, deputy director in academic activity of the Institute of Osteopathic Medicine (SPbMAPO), leading lecturer in structural and visceral fields. Main medical specialty – surgery. A. Chervotok started studying osteopathy with the first group of Russian physicians in 1992 under the leadership of Viola Frymann. In 1994–1997 he studied at the Ecole Supérieure d'Ostéopathie (Paris) within the first Russian group of MDs, defended his research project in Geneva. Author of a large number of works on osteopathy (dentistry-orthodontics, orthopedics, sport medicine, etc.), participant of many international conferences in Russia and abroad. Member of the WOHO, the American Academy of Osteopathy, the United National Register of Osteopaths (Russia). Vladimir Ousachev (Russia) MD, doctor of medical sciences, professor,
deputy director in research of the Institute of Osteopathic Medicine (SPbMAPO). Medical specialties – ENT, vestibular system, posturology. One of the leading specialists in Russia in physiology of oculomotor and postural systems as well as in computerized stabilometrics from the point of view of osteopathic concept of body unity. Author of 143 publications including the chapter “Anatomy, Physiology, Diseases” in a manual on ENT problems. Sergey Sabinin (Russia) MD, DO, chief of the course on structural osteopathy of the Russian Higher School of Osteopathic Medicine (RHSOM).
His medical specializations are pediatrics and neurology. Graduated from the RHSOM in 2001. His main research and practical interests are centered around «muscle chains». Member of the Russian Osteopathic Association. Igor Litvinov (Russia) MD, DO,
graduated from the II Moscow Medical Institute as a neurologist. Primary specialization in manual medicine in 1989 (Kazan Medical Institute of Postgraduate Education), further postgraduate courses in this specialty - in 1990-1993 (Novokuznetsk, Kazan), also primary specializations in acupuncture (1990), classical homeopathy (1993), electropuncture diagnosis and treatment according to R.Voll (1994), bioresonance therapy (1995), applied kinesiology (1993-1997). In 2001 Mr. I. Litvinov graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (Maidstone, UK).
For the first time in Russia participants of the Conference will be able to visit an exposition of A.T. Still Museum brought from Kirksville (USA). ExhibitionIt’s planned to organize an exhibition of equipment, industrial and experimental items. Social eventsFor participants of the Conference and accompanying persons there will be organized a guided tour along rivers and channels, excursions to museums, a guided sightseeing tour around the city.
